Join us for a unique, 2-lap, 5k race run entirely on the hard packed sands of scenic Long Sands Beach in York, Maine. Feel free to race hard, run easy or walk the course and hopefully enjoy a beautiful fall morning in southern Maine.
In the spirit of Halloween – Costumes are encouraged!

Proceeds from this event support our non-profit educational youth, middle school, high school CLUB cross-country (nordic) ski programs and allow us continue to provide local xc ski grooming in the Greater York Region.

Saturday, October 31, 2026
9:00 am start time (low tide)

Where:
Long Sands Beach, York, Maine
Start / Finish / Registration near Long Sands Bathhouse

Virtual Event:
Run a 5k on the course of your choice until October 31st and email us your time (honor system).

Registration
Pre-registration: $30; SkiReg.com (Online Reg. Ends: Friday, October 30 at 12 pm)
Virtual: $20; SkiReg.com (ends Saturday, October 30 at 12 pm)
Kids 1 KM Fun Run: $20 (Children 12 and under)
Day of Race registration: 
$40 ALL 5 KM Participants; $20 ALL 1 KM Kids Fun Run (CASH or CHECK ONLY); 
Race day bib pickup only: 7:45-8:45 am

Fueling
Water may be available before and after the race, however we strongly encourage participants to bring their own water bottles.
Snacks available post-race.

WEATHER:
October weather is variable so please dress appropriately. Packing a dry change of clothes or dry layers for after the race to leave near the finish area is recommended. Race Director/s and volunteers are NOT responsible for your personal belongings.

In the event of forecasted thunderstorms, hail, lightning or unforseen weather event deemed by the Race Director as dangerous for the participants – the event/s will be cancelled and participants notified by email.

Agamenticus Ski Club is a community-based ski club committed to meeting the needs of a wide range of skiers – including youth, junior, senior and master skiers.  Our mission is to support and build a strong community through educational programs to promote health, fitness and fun through skiing.

The goal of Agamenticus Ski Club is to develop a broad range of programs, events and training opportunities to support recreational skiers and racers throughout the Greater York Region.
