2025 Race Results

ALL Proceeds provide funding for the Agamenticus Ski Club non-profit educational youth, middle school, High school CLUB cross-country (nordic) ski programs and Allow us continue to maintain and provide local ski grooming in the Greater York Region.
Join us for a unique 2-lap, 5k run entirely on the hard packed sands of scenic Long Sands Beach in York, Maine. Feel free to race hard, run easy or walk the course and Hopefully enjoy a beautiful fall morning in southern Maine.Long Sands Beach 5K Run 2025

Run or Walk a 5k on the course of your choice.

1 KM FUN Run: $20 (Closes:

Race day registration: $40 (CASH OR check only) – 7:30-8:15 am
Race day bib pickup only: 7:30 – 8:15 am
Race Start Times:
5 KM RUN starts at 8:30 am.
1 KM start will immediately follow the 5K start
Start & Finish:  Near the Long Sands Bathhouse, Long Sands Beach, York, Maine.
Parking:  It is recommended that Participants Park at the Registration Site – along Long Sands Beach – you may park on the right-hand side of the road.  Parking is free.
Race Map:  Long Sands Beach 5K Run Map can be found here (NOTE there will NOT be a separate kids race as noted on the map – just one 5K race). 
Day-of Race Registration:  AT REGISTRATION SITE.  $40 PER ENTRY ALL CATEGORIES (NO Hats FOR “DAY-OF” REGISTRATION).  $12 for 12 & Under 1 KM Fun run.
LIMITED Qty of hats available for purchase (CASH or CHECK ONLY) – day of race! 
FINAL RACE INFORMATION EMAIL WILL BE SENT OUT WEEK PRIOR TO EVENT TO ALL REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS.

Hats
Custom hats to the first 30 registrants (they go quick – so register early) .

Fueling
Water may be available before and after the race, however we strongly encourage participants to bring their own water bottles. Snacks available post-race.

Awards
Top Male & Female finishers and top age group winners.
Virtual participants NOT eligible for awards.

Covid-19 Notice:
Race organizers will be adhering to CDC and Maine Covid Protocols.
Should the race be deemed unsafe to race “in-person,” we reserve the right to shift to a full virtual running race format.

WEATHER:

October weather is variable so please dress appropriately. Packing a dry change of clothes or dry layers for after the race to leave near the finish area is recommended. Race Director/s and volunteers are NOT responsible for your personal belongings.

In the event of forecasted thunderstorms, hail, lightning or unforseen weather event deemed by the Race Director as dangerous for the participants – the event/s will be cancelled and participants notified by email.

Agamenticus Ski Club is a community-based ski club committed to meeting the needs of a wide range of skiers – including youth, junior, senior and master skiers.  Our mission is to support and build a strong community through educational programs to promote health, fitness and fun through skiing.

The goal of Agamenticus Ski Club is to develop a broad range of programs, events and training opportunities to support recreational skiers and racers throughout the Greater York Region.
